The Residence Alla Giudecca on the island of Ortigia,
Siracusa’s medieval centre, is one of the most
unique accommodations in all of Italy. Occupying a medieval
building in the heart of the old town, where the streets
are too narrow for cars and the sandy coloured crumbling
buildings transport you back in time, this collection
of 23 fully self sufficient apartments contains the
ruins of ancient Hebrew baths, used for the ritual of
purification in the Byzantine period (circa 300AD) and
a deconsecrated church.

Our stunning palazzo is unlike any other you’ll
ever stay in – take the Residence
Alla Giudecca Virtual Tour to get a taste
of the place. (Unfortunately we’re unable to include
photography of the Hebrew baths – you’ll
have to come to see them!) This ancient building maintains
its original personality with stone floors and museum
exhibits on every wall, in every corner and every high
vaulted and echoing corridor. The property also contains
a meeting room capable of holding up to 150 people and
a luxurious reading room.

Our 23 pristine apartments provide the ideal backdrop
for a dream holiday in one of Sicily’s most stunning
destinations. Just a short walk from the beach and the
beautiful Bay of Siracusa, our location in the heart
of the island of Ortigia – the medieval heart
of Siracusa – means you’re central to everything
you’ll need. |
